Thanks, Help I need is some sound advice on what type of tractors to look to buy. I am really new to the tractor world. My dad uses it mostly and has been struggling with an old Ford 8 or 9N. I am not sure of the horsepower. We have just decided it is time to upgrade and get something more dependable.

It sounds like you may already have some implements you plan on using so it's going to be important to get a tractor that can handle what you've got. You could start by listing what types and sizes.

How much do you want to spend, do you want new or used, compact or utility 2wd or 4wd . I like utility tractors I have 45 semi hilly acres and a Perdue chicken house to look after,and the 451 Massey I have is heavy and stable on my hills with plenty of hp for the generator and bushhogging that has to be done.
So give us a few more specifics and we can help you more, I really like my Massey but dont think im pushing them on you if you want new find a dealer you really like no matter the brand and buy from him thats what I did.

Where are you located and what tractor brand dealers are in your area?
One thing that will help save you having to answer the questions over and over is to go to "my home" at the top of page, click that and then choose personal settings and fill in the information. This way, people will see your location under your posting name. Then they can click on your name and see your personal member page information. Be sure to put in size of property, and location. You can also read over the other things you can set such as whether you want to receive private messages (PM) etc. By the way (BTW), if you see a little mail icon flashing next to Main Index at the top of page, that means you have a PM, click on it to go to your mail.
