need advice new style vs old style 7100 hood

I am having trouble locating a new or used clean hood for the old style(round headlights)late 70's-early 80's,I can get the new style square headlight hood but I dont know if the hood will fit,If you know any answers to theise quiestions I WOULD APPRECIATE IT-GLENN

Old style and new style hoods do not interchange at all. For around $300 your Kubota dealer can get the hood along with all the decals to replace the hood entirely. Both hoods are still readily through Kubota parts.

sounds good,but I was told from a major kubota dealer that they are no longer available from the warehouse,do you know where I can get one?shifty

I am a little confused about your question. I'm pretty sure that both the older and newer B7100s had round headlights. The new style headlights came with the B7100s replacement, the flat-deck B7300.

As far as I know the newer B7100s had a longer wheel base than did the older model B7100s, which is one of the reasons FELs are not interchangable between the two. I would suspect that the hood length may be different between the two also, even if they do look the same. If they are different then I would guess that the newer B7100HSD hoods are available where the B7100D hood may not be. I have never had any difficulty finding parts for my older B7100D, but I have never tried to purchase body parts.

We've replaced 2 on trade-ins in the last 6 months... so they sure should be available. I'll be happy to check the warehouses for you when I get to work and let you know.
