I think I've decided on purchasing the B2910 and have gotten several quotes - including one from Carver.

The lowest quote I received was for $17,300 including FEL and R4's. This dealer is approx. 20 miles away and is willing to do whatever it takes to sell me the tractor. He's including a free 1st service and free pick-up and delivery for as long as I own the tractor.

The next quote I received was for $17,800 including FEL and R4's, the dealer seemed very helpful, they offer a free 1st service and 10% off all parts, accessories, and service. However, they are 35 miles away and charge $100 for pick-up/delivery when in need of service.

The third quote I received was for $18,000 including FEL and R4's but nothing else and they charge $50 for pick-up/delivery when in need of service. This dealer was also very nice/helpful and is only 5 miles away.

Carver was right in there with price but I would have to make unloading arrangements which seems like a pain.

I realize that I can take the Kubota in for service wherever I want but would prefer to take it to who I bought it from. Any opinions? Is it worth it to spend $700 more to go through the closest dealer? All the dealer's seemed knowledgeable and helpful. How do the quotes sound? It seems like a toss up between each dealer's options. Thanks.

Cheez, I think it's just up to you to decide what you think of the different dealers. Having a dealer very close is nice. Mine's over 50 miles from me and the nearest dealer - whom I wouldn't do business with under any circumstances - is about 25 miles, so it really isn't necessary to have the dealer close.

Sounds like the first dealer really wants your business. Free pickup and delivery could be very valuable. I was faced with a similar decision the dealer 3 mile from me really didnt want to deal. So I went farther from home (35 miles) for my best deal. Very friendly people and willing to work with you.

For what its worth

I too would go with the first quote. 20 miles is not that far and if pickup and delivery is free that is added money in your pocket along with the first free service. add it all up and now the difference is well over $1,000. better than the other deals.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I'll be going in soon to talk to the local dealer one last time. I'll keep everyone posted. Hopefully I'll be the proud owner of a new Kubota soon!!!

Thanks for your input. Please see my updated post under "Buying a Kubota" under "Which Kubota do I need". I'm completely confused, but, hey, this is fun!
