Do the needle bearings actually run on #61 or is #61 just a spacer between them?

No the needle bearings are inside the cog #59, the bushing #61 is pressed inside the top of the housing #5 and the kingpin #5 pivots inside of it. The bushing's got holes and spiral groves on the inside to let the gear oil move between the surfaces, has a slightly brassy look to the metal, guess it's made of something a bit softer than the kingpin. http://www.hoyetractor.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_CODE=13014WDINT
Anyone Know if the 1301D front 4WD axle is used on other models?

:anyone:

Thanks Winston, I found the proper ones, Hoyes did have them just not liked off of that diagram.
I presume these just press out and the new ones press in?

No manual here but I would assume the same, press the old out and the new in.

Bushings arrived from Hoye today, they look wrong to me, what do you think?

Originals are bronze coloured, longer and have oil grooves and holes in them:

I would think size is the most critical issue. If the bore and od are the same I would think oil grooves might not be necessary. How much shorter are the bushings?

Thanks. It says "1301D repl. 194210-14270" I guess that means SB1427 is a replacement for the original 194210-14270 ? It's definitely shorter than original and is steel not bronze, added to that there's no oil channels it's likely going to cause wear on the kingpin. Being a perfectionist really is a pain some times...
