Hi LBrown,
Are you in Oregon or Ohio?
The prices are really high that I have seen so far in Oregon.
Thanks!

I'd say BX15 would do a great job for that mowing task. I personally don't think there is a comparison to the the JD in terms of durability and ease when comparing a BX...horse of a different color. The BX with the "ag" tires or with turfs in 4wd would be very capable and safe with a ROPS. Might want to consider the 18 is the $ not too far off.

Looks like I will end up with a BX1850 with a 54" MMM and front brush guard (and 12 gallons of super UDT..) for $9200. Front bucket lever removed per my request; packaged for future owners. I don’t want the lever in my way if I will never use it.

One other dealer was lower but I buy all my Kubota, Stihl, and commercial Honda from this dealer, so he gets my business...again.

This is my “mower only” tractor to be used up a very steep hill. It will have a tough life. Worked extremely hard but perfectly maintained.

I only wish the JD 318 was younger, but then I wish I was also! The JD was really second to none unit in its day, but I am very confident the Kubota BX 1850 will be as tough as the 318 in the next 20 years!

Thanks!
