I'm planning to start shopping in earnest next year, but in the meantime some of the work I'm doing makes me wish I had something larger now...
So this weekend I ran aross a used Case 380 sitting in front of a mobile home park with a for sale sign on it.
The rather faded note taped to the cowl said it was a 1976 CK LL 380. It is a diesel, 2wd, hydraulic steering, roll bar with roof, with a loader, rear pto, and 3 point - which is currently holding steel plates to counterweight the loader.
The note also listed a lengthy litany of recent (or not so recent) repairs including new head, bearings, and paint. The tires are fair to poor.
The loader has been repaired several time (plates added to reinforce) and the overall condition is just this side of "ridden hard and put away wet". Considering where I saw it I suspect this unit was worked pretty hard for snow removal and grading.
So what do you guys think it's worth? Near as I could tell it's been out there for a while with a price of $6000 on it. Seems like a lot to me, but I'm no tractor guru!
