05' Farmtrac 555 DTC
My injection pump blew the small cover off that on the side/bottom of the pump and I知 looking for either a new pump or a rebuild kit... it痴 a 555 DTC
Anyone know where to find these...
I致e had no luck searching the internet
Thanks

Does anyone know if the 555DTC has a lift pump or if it is gravity gravity fed?
If it has a lift pump is it part of the injection pump?
Thanks

YOU have the machine there.. its either on the engine block or made into the filter head if it has one..
I'm pretty sure it does have one, seeing the inlet feed pressure is 5-7psi.. & gravity is 1-3..

I think it is gravity fed. On mine the line goes from shut off through the filters and to the inj. Pump. I see nothing in the filter head or on the block at all

But the parts breakdown lists a fuel pump as ESL 10442. It is a plunger type with a glass type sediment bowl and prefilter and it looks to have the primer on it. It is NOWHERE to be seen on my tractor so don't know.

For the life of me I cannot recall seeing it on my tractor. Now I am going to ask Where is it?????

Is this equipment new to you?? meaning, are you the first owner or did you get this 2nd hand?
How long have you had it, before the inj. pump went South? Maybe THATS the problem all along.. no lift pump?
How was it running before the inj. pump blew the advance cover?
Take the fuel feed line off the inj. pump.. just turn on the key.. fuel should come out under heavy pressure if it has a working electric pump..
Now spin the engine.. if it has a mechanical lift pump, fuel will "pulse" out of the line..

WOW.. that's remarkable.. but then again it is a FarmTrac.{India}.Lol..
UNLESS that hand primer IS the lift pump??{it doesn't look like one} your right, it doesn't have one..
Was the drive shaft keyed??
The "hammering" you described in your email sounds like air or timing to me..
Are you getting any smoke when it happens??
How does it start up in the morning? Long cranks or fires right up??

The driveshaft on the pump was keyed... I replaced the filters n copper washers on the lines then bled the lines n she seems to be running good, that tick is faint now, kinda sounds like it’s the injectors firing now...
It fires right up, No smoke other than a lil black puff when I start it
If I can figure out how to post a sound recording I’ll put it up, if not I’ll sent to your email so you canhear it

That's the same as mine. The parts breakdown shows there is one as I described and the hand primer is part of it. The hand primer on the pump as sown does not look like it could be a pump and it does not look like the pump as shown on the parts list. My pump has been ''loud'' since day one. Ours just turned 1000hours. There is also no glow plugs on these and it starts pretty good in the winter down to about 15 degrees after that it takes a bit.

I have been in the rear end three times for loose bolts coming out of the pinion and tearing stuff up. Last time I welded a plate between the bolts so they could not turn. No more issues other than a head gasket. Used and abused

Have u tried working the hand primer to get the fuel to flow better ?? Basically forcing it into the inj. pump..
