Not the same, but related, last week my father's Jeep was stolen out of his driveway. We believe they used an RFID amplifier and relay as he still has his keys and the Jeep was equipped with keyless entry and ignition. I now keep my keys in a tucked away in a faraday pouch at night.

the rfid keyless system is a nightmare. so easy for thieves to steal cars. i watched a report about that very issue a few weeks ago. they showed you how easy it was to get into a car and get it started without keys. i dont think they even have locking steering wheels anymore do they? (i dont, and wont own one)

I posted in another thread..... hirez driveway cam video of two guys stealing a Tesla in the UK. The digital work went quickly; the ONLY thing that slowed them down at all was the Charge Cable - it almost looked like they were about to try driving away with it still locked-on.

I emailed that link to a couple of tech buddies, Subject Line: Clearly, we need more Extension Cords......

What I really like - out West we have no toll roads. Lots of our roads have lumps and bumps but no tolls.

Toll bridges and toll lanes in western Washington, most you can avoid or go around. Probably see more in the future....

about whether law enforcement has scanners that read the denomination of bills inside people's cars, sometimes resulting in the money's  confiscation and forfeit ure. All of the reports of these incidents I remember were second hand information at best.

If anyone reading this has PERSONALLY been stopped by law enforcement because you were carrying a large amount of money that was detected by a scanner please describe your experience including how you know they used a scanner.

Note: I asked this question in a new thread because the subject isn't reflected in the title of the thread where the discussion is going on. I wanted anyone who might have been stopped because of a scanner to see it and respond.
