Tires Need help finding front tire

What is wrong with your original tire?

My front tire had a 1" slash/rupture in the sidewall. Could not find a (6.50x16?) replacement anywhere, even my tractor dealer. They offered to purchase one from China. I took it to many tire dealers including industrial/tractor dealers. All the tire dealers said the dire can't be repaired because injury was too large.

I purchased a sidewall boot from Miller Tire and fixed it myself. 20 hard hours later the tire is still holding up to extreme weight and works as good as new.

We'll see how the next couple hundred hours do,

I've seen large gouges and tears that went from a couple inches of the bead to the tread area. A few were 'laced' up with heavy farming wire, and one had a pice of another tire BOLTED on using 1/4" hardware. I assume both types of repairs also used a boot, and or and old split innertube in the casing, as well as a new tube.

I have a very thick piece of rubber in one of my front tires "covering" a tear in the sidewall. It slipped once and allowed the tube to be exposed. Since then I have over a hundred hours of pretty rough use and no problems. I just make sure the tires are aired up to operating pressure before heading out.

Can anyone tell me where I can order a 4.00-16 front tire for my farm pro tractor I cant find one no where.

Is this a 4WD unit? May be cheaper to start looking for an alternate rim in a standard size. If 2WD, and it were mine, I would take/make some rims to fit, then get tire and your good to go.
