Need help from my TBN Friends

We started a greeting card campaign for Shaylee, she is a beautiful 5 yr old girl suffering from terminal brain stem cancer. The doctors have given her only a few more weeks, so the wife and I have been taking care of her twin 2 yr old brothers for the past couple months to allow momma and granny to devote all their time to Shaylee. If any of you could please send her a greeting card such as a Thinking of you or Hello, not a Get Well card. Shaylee just lights up when the mailman comes. She has already gotten about 150 to 200 from 33 states. There are still some states she needs cards from if everyone could pass the word. There is an e-mail going around and some of you may have already received it. Please send cards to this address:

I was afraid you would post her picture. I'm glad you did though. She is a darling. She looks a bit like my daughters. My oldest, who is six, saw me with the card this morning and asked what I was doing. I don't think she has gotten up this early since school has been out.

She asked and I told her. I could see her thinking and I asked her if it made her sad. She said yes and thought some more. She then said that Shaylee would be in heaven looking down at us.

Course I had tears in my eyes. As I do know typing this.

A few years ago I was working on our property before we had a house out there. I was running a chainsaw that day and was taking a break. As I was filling up the saw, sharpening the chain and just taking a break I turned on the radio to NPR. They had a story about mother who lost her daughter to cancer. The little girl was 5-6. It was a sad story but happy in how the daughter seemed to have delt with the situation so much easier than the parents. Here I was working on the back of my Manly Big Pickup with a Macho Chainsaw looking like some dirty smelly monster crying my eyes out. Good thing I was in the middle of no where and nobody could see me.

I'll go see if they still have that on the NPR website. I doubt it since it was years ago but I'll try since it was uplifiting.

Shaylee is so cute...

In the past I felt the same way about crying. Well now I just let it flow.
Don't you feel bad if someone sees you crying. We (our family) now realize that the more you love the more it hurts to see them suffer or to have them die. Well that's all for now. Gotta dry my keyboard.

Its alright for the family to see ya crying but ya cant be a Mucho Man with a chainsaw crying in the woods. Its just not mainly.

What would the neighbors think of the guy that just bought the land.

I need all the help I can get to fulfill the Much Man Manliness Image.

I could not find the story I heard on the radio.

I hope Shalyee's family is getting help to deal with her illness. I did find lots of information on dealing with grief. There was an article in yesterdays Wall Street Journal about how dreams seem to help some people deal with grief.

Shaylee has now received at least 1 card from each of the 50 states. We are now trying to get her cards from as many other countries as possible.
