I need help identifying the make and model of this tiller. I need some parts for it. What grease should I put in the chain box?

For the grease, it would depend on the chain and bearing system inside the drive housing. Cornhead grease is semi-liquid and a semi-grease very suitable for rotary tillers. TSC, Farm&Fleet, ASC, Farm stores and Coops all carry this.

As for the gearbox, 80W90 or 75W90 synthetic works very well.

This rotary tiller looks to be a CAT-0 or adaptable to CAT-1 use. Cub Cadet, Wheelhorse or many of the GT lawn tractors with a 3-point life, not sleeve hitch, would operate it.

I assume you posted this on Reddit and it has the Yanmar F18D to power it then.

The YTOG has the manuals for the Yanmar. (y)

It took lots of hunting for this tiller.
Dumb AI image searches called it a JD31 fail mower. LOL

You have a Ford LGT tiller. Something very sought after.
The tiller was made for Jacobsen and Ford lawn tractors.

Yours has been modified nicely for a 3-point hitch.

Bmaverick. Wow, thank you so much for doing the research and finding out what it was. I really appreciate it more than you know I’ve been so curious about finding it and I have looked for several hours and couldn’t find it.

Yes I’m the one who posted that on Reddit. I have been trying to find the parts manual on YTOG but I’m having a hard time learning how to use the website I am not very tech savvy but I really am happy to be a part of this group and thankful to have others like you in here willing to help.
