I have searched this forum with no results. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase cast iron rear wheel weights for my M7040? I need around 500 pounds per side. The rims are 24".
So far I've only been able to find stackable weights to around 400 pounds total. I want a one piece weight that will add about 500 pounds per side total. Like the ones you see on construction tractors like the JD 210 LE.
I had the dealer fill the rear tires on my m7040 with calcium chloride which added 6 to 700 lbs per wheel. That is the best way and most economical way to go
I filled my rear tires the day I got it. I added one gallon of anti freeze to each tire for corrosion. I added 32 OZ of Slime in each front tire. I run my rears at 20 PSI and the fronts at 40 PSI. Works great in all terrain including soft sand, which is what I work in most of the time.
MU;ESKINNER: I have two TLB's; 78 Kubota L295(DT) with loader/backhoe Weigh's 5500# with R-1 tires, and a 95 Kubota L-35 TLB with loaded tires, and the R-4's, and weigh's 6500#. In a face-off in soil; the L295 will tow the
L-35 backwards! If the soil is wet, the L295 may even do it it 2wd? I haven't tried it that way yet. The other way happened, when I got the L-35 stuck in mud, an brought the L-295 for the rescue mission! This is info only, and may not be cost, or time effective to have a set of each? Maybe a set of chains on the R-4's for certain jobs would work??
I had the dealer fill my 30 inch tires with calcium chloride and I lower the tire pressuer a bit to bet max traction. Works really well on my m7040 tractor
