Need help on Ford 1520 hydrolic fluid

How do you check the hydraulic fluid on a Ford 1520 tractor?

The dipstick is in the transmission cover just behind the steering column. Transmission, rear axle, and hydraulics are all a common sump. Power steering and front axle separate checks & fills.

Is that still true if it is a manual transmission and not a hydrostatic?

Yes. The gear drive does have one less filter, though.
