TC40,
I have a TC40 tractor and am intersted in getting a box blade for this. What size do you recomend for my size tractor? Please give me pros and cons of sizes.

I'd go for 6'. 5' won't cover your tire tracks.

Larger might be hard to tote when full.

I agree with SoundGuy. I've got a 6 foot on my TC33D, because a 5 ft would not cover my tracks with R4 tires. I also like to do a bit better than just cover my tracks... makes it easier when you are trying to get right up to the edge of something. In some situations, 6 foot is a bit big for me, but I just take smaller bits when I hit those situations. For maintaining a gravel drive, 6 foot fits my 33 HP very well.

I'd imagine 6 foot would do well for you in almost every application. If your primary use was maintaining already constructed roads, you might get away with bigger.

I agree as well. 5 footer will not cover your tires and anything bigger than 6 foot may bog you down.

Thanks everybody for your input. The 6'ft was what I was leaning towards. From what I have read in previous posts this should be the proper size. But I had a salesman tell me to go with a 7' one. And I figuered I should just put the question on here and see what response I received.
