Need help with a Yanmar 1300

Good advice.

Where these things come from, the little ones are basically just portable horsepower for turning a rice paddy tiller. Stick with the rototiller for cultivation.

If you really want a 3-point kit for the back to run standard Category 1 implements, Hoyetractor dot com in Texas has the kit. But shipping and tariff costs to UK might be prohibitive. Is a similar kit available to buy over there?

Seems to me the kit salvaged off any junked small tractor could be adapted if you can find it. All 3-point fittings are pretty much standardized and interchangeable within each Category (size). You would probably want to cut and shorten the horizontal arms and the uprights.

Or use this 1300 for tilling and buy a larger Yanmar for implements. Don't ask how I know that. :D (click on my sig link, below).

You're very welcome, and I hope your tractor provides long and useful service to you.

If any plow is going to work on that tractor, the one you linked to very well may be the one. It is an 8" plow, but appears to be well built and sturdy, and has enough mass to probably work, and the coulter will help, too. It will be much better than the Sears product I linked to earlier. However, as was mentioned, these tractors are really designed to power the tiller and transport it. If your conditions are suited to plowing, though, it may be a good match.

You may already know about them, but there is a Belgian company providing compact tractor parts for the EU. They are known for producing PTO reversers for the few non-standard rotation compact machines, but also have many other products on their website. I know nothing about them except what I have shared. Your online store for Kubota, Iseki, and Yanmar micro tractor spare parts and manuals.

They do offer conventional lift arms, top and side link kits, etc for these types of machines, but you will probably need to fabricate or find a top plate to use as a tractor side top link bracket.

You may decide that by the time you are 425-odd pounds into adapting the tractor and buying a plow, it's not worth it, but you are the only one who could make that decision. Let us know how your projects go!
