Just placed my order with Surpluss center - 8' & 10' hoses - 1/2" double braid, 2 90 degree swivel fittings and a 3 1/2" x 24 cylinder chief tie rod cylinder. Just over $200 with the $30 shipping
My tractor only has 1,850 psi hydraulic system. with a 3" cylinder, I'd get ~13,000# push, but with the geometry, the cylinder would have to be at 18 degrees to get 4,000# of upward push. A 3.5" cylinder gets me ~18,000# push and 4,000# at 13 degrees. Without having the trailer in front of me to measure the angle, I went a little conservative.
A 4" cylinder would give me ~23,000# push and 4,000# at 10 degrees. It is also amost twice as slow as a 3" cylinder for cycle time.
