I'm really interested to see how this goes, too. (especially since it's my wallet involved)
Crazy thing about this is, if we had not been in a drought situation for the past 5 years, I'm quite sure that I would have had twice that many hours on the tractor and would have found the problem way before the 2 year warranty ran out. I bought the tractor in November of 2013, so the first hay season was the following year. I got one cutting, and that was a total of 26 rolls of hay from more than 50 acres! In a "normal" year, I would have rolled 400+ bales.

As I've told a few more 5M owners, if you haven't had any problems yet, you most likely won't. There is a really small percentage of hydraulic failures on these tractors. Mine is the only one that this dealership has even heard of. The day I picked mine up, I talked to another 5M owner who hasn't had an issue. And, he has almost 1000 hours on his.
