Hi Guys
We are almost done pouring concrete I am afraid to tell you how many yards we have so far. Last count is 62 yards and we still need to pour another
12 yards.
But that is not what the post is about. Door dogs are expensive and never last. If you look at picture you will see that I have a 8 inch cement block walls going up 6 feet to be even with the kennels. I would like to have a dog door separating the two back to back runs. So it will be 6 feet high 5 feet wide and 10 feet long. Then a block wall. When I am not busy the dogs can have a 5 X 10 and 5 X 10 during the holidays I drop the door and instantly double my capacity. But I have dog doors for my own dogs and man can dogs tear them up.
One idea I had was use angle irons on a pully system with a plywood board. The angle irons are on either side of the hole and keep the dogs from moving the ply wood board. IF you wish to open the door you pull from the outside of the kennel and pull door up. If there is no corners the dogs will not be able to chew the plywood.
Need some good ideas guys so start thinking and writing!
No plastic or rubber must be firm or dogs will chew. must also be strong.
thank you in advance
