This photo shows the pulley as being trapped.

After dropping the big hunk of junk iron the pulley came free and the old seal was removed. A new seal is on order.

There were no O-rings in the head gasket set for the push rod sleeves so I need to find oil compatible O-rings of the right dimensions for the head. The sleeve have an outside diameter of 5/8 inch. Suggestions would be apprediated

See part 25, in the exploded view. Official Case Construction Equipment Online Parts Store and Parts Look Up. Parts for Case Equipment and Construction Equipment. Parts Store for Case Wheel Loaders, Case Excavators, Case Skid Steers, Case Original Parts. Pretty pricey most places, for right at $2.00 ea. Found these using the original part number, and superseded number. Found these in the first few hits on Google, out of 2,550 hits. Part description on the Case site does give the o-ring size, if you expand the page to full size, if you want to shop locally.

I found the O-rings for a very reasonable price at MinnPar. I ordered 18 so as to have the opportunity to survive a botched job. I damaged the first ring. I've noticed that the tubes have a beveled edge on one end and assume you start entry using this end. From the head stand point should you start the tube down from the head top or up from the head base that fits to the engine block? (or does it matter?) I have wire brushed the exterior of the tubes and coated them with a lubricant. Suggestion on technique would be welcome. Thanks for the help rendered

While the head was being rebuilt I figured to replace a leaking PTO seal. I pulled the old seal out and have a new seal with the same codes stamped on that appears to be the same outside and inside diameter. However the seal seems reluctant into the bearing. Is there some unforthright procedure that need to be followed to install this seal?

I crossed the OEM part number through NAPA,and got this seal #. It gives the dimensions of the seal. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NOS13739 I know it's tough to measure the OD on the machine with that shaft in the way, but maybe you could measure the OD of the seal you have, and check the numbers.

I know on older IH Ag. tractors, cross reference numbers to CR seals would not fit. It was like they were .025 too big. Went to the local dealer, and got the OEM seal, and starting fit was finger pressed in, then finished taking it on home with a wooden block, tapping lightly with a hammer.
