Need lawn roller advice pls.

Just as a note to this, I once built a field roller out of an old underground fuel tank. It was 14' wide by roughly 4' diameter. I called it the "Chopstix Special" because it was so effective people said it pushed rocks down to China.
Interestingly enough, it was not as effective as a smaller diameter roller. I think the larger diameter had less surface area contacting the ground than the smaller diameter.

Back in the early 80's, and flying RC Airplanes, two of the folks (I know one is deceased) that maintained the field, used a big roller to keep the grass runway flat. They made the roller out of a discarded hot water heater, central bearings and rod, filled with concrete.

Betst Co. has had this a few times. I like it because it is a 3 point and can be transported. The downside is that sharp turns can cause a small ridge.
