Dropping bucket and attaching spear to FEL will solve your problem and avoid need or new tractor purchase, IMHO.

What loader do you have on your machone the MF 1246 or an aftermarket?

Be sure to add ballast to the rear of the tractor if you haven't already. It's gonna be real tippy with those heavy bales.

Memory tells me 2300psi pump pressure. You should check after the loader valve & before to see if it's the loader valve relief or the tractor pump relief.

Fred makes a very good point ! Your MF 1240 only weighs in at 2900 lbs, which isnt exactly a heavy machine so that rear ballast is pretty important ! Also be extra careful with that heavy round bale at any height, do all the moving with the bale close to the ground.....

I purchased a QA and new bucket last year for my 1040, and by removin that 6 ft front bucket that should help alot also...
