Looking for a new cell phone.
The only towers in my area are Verizion network.
Other towers are too far away weak signal strength.
Is there a cell phone that works - that you really are satisified with?
That you can hear the voice clearly?
Do you use the fancieeee options on cells phones these days or do you use it to call and receive calls?
What manuf and model of phone is it?

I use a phone to make and recieve calls only. I have a TracPhone (LG220c) that has blackberry, texting and web capability but I never use those features. We live in Montana and I got the phone for my wife when she travels for emergencies and for myself when I'm on the road.. We have a family plan and she gets 100 minutes a month and I get 80 minutes a month for $16+/month total. That works out to ~$0.09/minute. The phones cost ~$35 a piece with accessoriy packages. Coverage is excellent. I've never not been able to complete a call. the clarity is better than my home phone which is very good. I can call anywhere in the country and since I rarely use all my minutes, I use it for long distance calls to my family and friends.

Their tech support is great. Their customer service sucks (I think it's based in Mexico or the Phillipines) but I rarely have to use it and in fact I avoid it if at all possible.

My wife and I have I-phones. I really didn't want one but there was a "deal" so we both got them. Now I can't seem to function without it. Not only calls but notes or lists for trips to the store, four different weather apps, one with local radar. Different games, Facebook, and of course I have the Tractorbynet app too.

Once you get a smart phone, I-phone, Droid, etc., you WILL gradually start to use all it's features and will find it an indespensible tool.

iPhone is the way to go. As a matter of fact, I'm typing this reply using my iPhone and the free TBN app.

I used to be like most and had a simple phone just to make calls, however, after owning an iPhone, I'll never get by without one. Built in iPod, 5mp camera, Internet at your fingertips, games galore, and every app you can imagine. Sitting at the dr's office waiting, jump on TBN and reply to posts like I am now. Want to know what the Gelling temp for diesel fuel is, use your iPhone. Want to check out an item your bidding on eBay, they got a free app for that. Expecting a phone call while mowing, listen to iPod and it will let you know when a call comes in.

I enjoy dimple things in life, I drive a 95 f150 without all the fancy gps navigation, a/c seats, backup cameras, hid lighting, fuel economy displays, etc. It doesn't even have a low fuel light, remember those cars, lol. However, drive a new superduty and you'll never want to go back to the plain Jane.

Just my two cents.

The smart phones are nice, but expensive. I have a Droid 2 with Verizon because I need the email for work, but as others have said, always having the internet in your pocket is very handy.

My wife has the Samsung Convoy. Just a basic phone that works well, has good battery life and is rugged. If you are just going to use your phone as phone, then I recommend it. If you want a smart phone, you need to spend some time in a Verizon store trying out the different phones to see which screen and phone physical size works for you.

here, i found the perfect one for you.
hope you have some large pockets....hay, considering those stupid ipads there coming out with, this isnt that far off.

Personally my phone is a phone ONLY with a crappy 2 MP camera that i never use. I hate the new do everything phones, and i especially hate what there doing to society (my rant).
I go into restaurant and theres a group of kids sitting at the table, each with their phones out texting someone else. no one at table is talking.....truly sad.

Droid Incredible here , since day of release. I've never had any issues. Just battery life after,a year of heavy use. Replacements are user friendly. Most phones by HTC are top of the line, as well as MOTO droids
