And it’s a 6.0 vs a 6.2?
I know they used to make a 3/4 ton Suburban in the mid 2000s that had the 6.0 I believe. The newer ones have the 6.2.

Allison was an option. She didn't get it, she should have. Told her she should have gotten a black one (hers is deep red metallic), then she could have played ***** and cruised around in a jet black 'burb'...lolThey put Allison’s in a suburban now? I haven’t paid much attention to the new lineup because I ain’t buying one but they didn’t used to. Even the 8.1 powered ones didn’t have an Allison.
Fuel computer says 25 average mpg. I think it's lying.

I have also had both. The v10 makes more power but the 6.0 wins by a landslide in durability and longevity.I have a V-10 in the '05 F-450 SD. At >220,000 mi the oil pressure comes up slowly when starting up and I'm told that'll be the end of the motor someday. It even sounds old, almost rough, but it gets the job done. (always off-highway, btw.) My '12 2500 HD's 6.0 with similar miles runs smoother and is more responsive. .
Huh? I'm 71 too and insist we're not too old to appreciate a good truck. Age of either means so little and IIRC you're pretty good on tractors too.Considering she's 70 and I'm 71, we are both old farts.
