Something is certainly going on, RobertN.
Seems like when I was a kid, the seasons would come, stay 3 months, then leave. I can't remember the last time it snowed in winter and didn't melt off a couple weeks later, only to get dumped on again.
I can add to the yes about needing rain, in midwest though PINERIDGE is just down the road a bit from me. ;0 one day mayber he can get that grapple thingy over to my place /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif hint hint lol J/K mike.

I do see a ton of volinteer beans comming up amungst the weeds but only in the parts I need to re-till ;( /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif ate some lettus yesterday and got stomach ach from it it was so bitter. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif then had to RUN to the outhouse... lol

We were having the driest May on record, then, over the last 2 days of the month we got ~~ 3". Now we're back in the dry cycle. Only about an inch this month.
Here's an interesting look at drought conditions over the US. North Texas is below its average, but west Texas is normal. Go figger.
