I bought an inexpensive Fill-Rite model because it's made in the U.S. and I'm confident I'll be able to get parts should that ever be necessary. It's done a great job for me so far...no complaints. I run it off a small 12V 18AH battery that has more than enough juice to run it for quite a while (I just throw it on the charger periodically).

I gave up on electric pump, but for my transfers, I bought a hf, manual rotary pump. Can fill up my 6g tractor in about 3 min. Maybe a bit longer if I want to be careful and not overfill. About 8 revolutions per gallon. Easy.

If my 12v pump bellies up I'll keep that in mind. Been using couple of years, so far works great. I use a battery charger to run my pump. No battery to maintain.

I have this one for my barrel 12V DC Bung Mounted Pump with Hose and Nozzle but they carry other configurations. I dont need a lot of flow and they make a small portable one too in the same series that you can configure how you want. Once you find the model, do a search - there are some great deals out there.
