I am looking at an atv,
I would like one for plowing the driveway, and running up to the top of our property where we have some tree stands. I will not be using it all the time, and I just cant justify dropping a whole lot of cash on something that will be only used on my property.

As I was searching I came across,
Atvs, 110cc Atv, Four Wheeler, Quad, 125cc Quad Atv, Atv four wheeler, buy atv , Pocket ATV , ATV , Sport Utility ATV , 4 Stroke Fully Auto ATV , Midsize Utility , EXT ATV , 150cc ATV , 125cc ATV , 250cc Atv, 500cc Utv
they have 110 cc atvs for 6-700 dollars.
I have bought things from this company before but I am wondering about the atvs
has anyone bought one from them, used this brand?
Thanks

Personally I would think to push snow you need some power and the only size I seen in a quick look was the 400cc that might work. In my opinion it is so close to the price of a major brand to even consider it. Resale on one of those would be low. Just my thoughts.

Thanks, I wasnt too sure what they could do. So the little ones good for just hauling yourself through the woods, thanks again for the info it just means a bit more saving.

I hiave a 2006 Polaris 700 Sportsman. I had it before my tractor. I had planned to use it to pull trailer for wood, ride on the land and winch some wood. The results were mixed. It has plenty of power and pulls the trailer with wood real well. Problem is if you are on hilly land the machine is not heavy enough if you have a load and the trailer will jack knife it. Also I have had issues if I attach wood that is too large and try to winch it the machine may be what moves versus the wood.

Not trying to talk you out of anything just giving you a heads up. I do use it to ride the land and carrry water to put in our camper. I also carry my chainsaw to the woods to cut wood and the kids like riding it.

I wonder if getting parts for those machines would be a problem. would you consider a nice used name brand? May be able to pick one up a couple years old from someone thinking they would used it a bunch and just never did.

Just as with a tractor, it is the weight which does the work in a manner of speaking. It is hard to move anything that weighs more than what you are moving it with. The wide tires on the ATV just slide across the ground when pushing or pulling something of a certain mass.

Smaller ones are fine just for riding around but I agree with Tom that for plowing snow you need at 400CC or larger. Before buying my tractor I used a Polaris 400 Sportsman to plow my driveway years ago. It worked fine at first but once snow banks have built up and have frozen you need something even larger to push them back. Check your local CL or Swap sheet for used machines but I doubt you will find a larger ATV in your price range. More likely in the 2-3K range.

Also for what you want it for, make sure you get 4wd. The lighter/cheaper sport 2 wheelers are often only 2wd.

Thanks for the check list, I really appreciate it. I would rather buy what works, then have to rebuy because it doesnt work.

I have a kawasaki bayou 220.

Its a little slow (only tops out at 40 mph), and 2x4, but it moves me around the woods ok.

People do plow with the 220 with weights. I hear 4 to 6 inches is the max.
