I have never heard of this, who does this often?

Your valve could be a WABCO, Haldex, Bendix, etc. (WABCO = Westinghouse Air Brake Co.)

Did you check the link in my post #6?

One of these would be helpful if you're going to work on the valve yourself: Air Brake/Treadle Valve Holding Tool from SP Tools/Schley Products Inc.

I think the treadle valve would be the same as those found on any class 8 truck.

yes I checked that link ... interesting but they wont sell any brake parts as it could be a liability issue... good info so thanks...
