Need to buy a Aerator, what brand?

Sop I stopped by the local JD dealer at lunch and inquired about a Frontier CA2060, 5 Ft Standard Duty Core Aerator, $2,875.

I told the sales lady that she was pretty proud of that green paint.

Looking at all the brands out there I'm just not seeing $2K worth of parts. I bought a 5' KK Tiller last year for $1600 which had a lot more metal and moving parts than a aerator.

What am I missing?

I'm thinking the Everything Attachments 48" heavy duty is a pretty hard to beat ...seems very well made.

It is hard to believe no much they cost. But the tines are expensive. You would think a tiller wold be mor than an aerator.

I too couldn't justify the $'s their asking to buy ......

So chalked this idea up & I fabricated this 3PL 40" corer/aerator out of our farm scrap about 5years ago - between me & my friends regularly borrowing it, it's done a lot more work than ever planned behind my Iseki TX2150's & Kubota B7100's without drama.

Each spindle/wheel rotates independently (they're cast press wheels salvaged off an ancient seeder which combined with the over engineered heavy frame saves the hassle of securing extra weights) with the "hubs" fitted with wheel bearings/grease zerks so they spin freely around the centre axle - not shown are the pin adjustable trailing depth wheels (I transfer them as required between implements) which slot into the rear square section where the stand legs are now.

MBTRAC
Looks real good imo, if you have something like those press wheels to start with.

I also like EA's new aerator models too and will be ordering one soon.
