Need to carry tools with me* mount box on RC okay?

I have needed a hammer and wrenches the 1st couple of times I have used my tractor. I have a 52 Ferguson TO30 and there isn't a good spot to mount a toolbox.

Is there a reason why I should not put a small toolbox mounted on my Rotary Cutter? I don't want to do it if it is dangerous, but I need somewhere to put a few tools. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Can't imagine it would be dangerous (as long as you are not using them while the RC is running /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ). Keep it clear of the PTO and don't plan to use the tools when you don't have the RC attached.

Used to mount a tool box on the left fender of the TO-30 I believe. Does it look like room there?

I don't believe I would want to carry anything on a bush hog.

My Fergie 30 has a small tool box bolted to the front of the gas tank. Its not a box with a lid but just an open topped box. It is a factory item but don't know if it was standard or an option. I have seen them on E-Bay from time to time.

Might want to flip your hood open and just take a look to see if you have one.

I don't see any problem. I have seen ammo boxes mounted on RCs for tools.

When I bought my 9n it had a tool box mounted on the inside of the left fender. It was a narrow box but fit a lot of tools.
