I bought a JD 8 backhoe to attach to my 850, it has no subframe. Have had no luck finding one either nor the hangers. So I am considering fabing one including the hangers. Does anyone out there have an 8 attached to a 50 series tractor? I am in need of some basic dimensions of the subframe and rear hanger. Or if someone has parts they are willing to sell, even better!

Thanks in advance!

I was a fabricator for quite a few years, maybe I can help.. When we had to build parts to fit on existing equipment, you have to use "DATUM points" and math.
Your shop floor is a great place for a datum point if it is concrete. All you need is a plumb bob, or a level and straight edge. Either have clean concrete, or tape a piece of rolled brown paper on the floor and start transposing points down to the floor, Start with the X and Y axis... (front to back, side to side) and find the edges of the mating surfaces.

Allow 1/8" clearance for fit. Last measure the vertical component of the part... Use the same edge of bolt holes to exactly measure the center, just don't forget to add 1/2 the hole dia. to the first measurement.
