Need to Find Compact Dealer in Texas?

I don't know what you are looking for but Noonday Auctions usually has a lot of good used tractors of all sizes. They haul in trade-ins from dealers from all over the state and usually hold the auction once a month. They might be worth checking out. I think that they have a webpage that might be worth having a look at.

With a name like Cut and Shoot, Texas I just had to know a bit more about the town. I was wondering if it was named in an effort to attract the NRA Regional Headquarters or something. In anycase, here is what I found by googling the city name:

Cut and Shoot history:

This town was named in 1912 after a violent confrontation. Versions of the story may differ, but it is basically about a dispute over the church steeple. There was only one church and when the new steeple was being designed, there were issues over who would be allowed to preach in the new church and also over some land claims by members. When one of the "banned" preachers arrived with his followers to preach, they found the doors locked. The "anti's" also arrived and arguments and name-calling occurred. Both groups had concealed weapons, but they weren't used. At one point, a young boy near the church yelled out, "I am scared! I am going to "cut'' around the corner and "shoot" through the bushes in a minute!" Those who heard him remembered his words and adopted Cut and Shoot as the town's name. Both sides were fined for disturbing the peace and assault and the dispute smoldered between a few of the participants for over a year. In a trial between two of the men, the judge asked where the incident had taken place. The witness replied, "I suppose you would call it the place where they had the cuttin' and shootin' scrape."

Go figure.

I used to live in Huntsville and worked all over East Texas so I know where Cut & Shoot is.

I have had good luck with Bill's Tractors but I deal with the original one east of San Antonio (which is where Bill works). He carries Mahindra and usually has a good selection of used ones.

Ewald's (NH and Kubota dealer) is also good and so is Tractor City (JD dealer) - both are in Seguin. The best hay equipment guy around Seguin is Rehfeld's Equipment - he specializes in grass cutting and hay processing stuff.

Too bad you didn't post the Massey for sale, was looking for a large tractor. Any how don't even bother shopping in NM the prices here are about $1700 above anything your looking for, I shop in CO, to far for you I would think. Welcome.

Try Brookside Equipment Sales. There is one on I-45 North near Tomball.

If you come across a dealer in Livingston Texas on Highway 69, be very careful.

I was at the Noonday auction last month that Frank mentioned. They had dozens and dozens of tractors that sold for next to nothing on up to top dollar. You really have to know what your looking at, but the selection was just amazing.

Noonday is just below Tyler and above Lake Palestine.
