Buying Advice Need to find the right equipment to mow a steep grade

For that small of an area, I wouldn't be looking at a multi-thousand dollar piece of equipment. That's only 18,000 square feet, or .41 of an acre.

you're underestimating how much I despise walking behind a 20" push mower. haha. I'm going to borrow a buddies RWD honda and try it out late this week or early next week.

Hire it done. Spending thousands to do what’s probably a $30 job doesn’t make sense.

Get something that can be used by multiple people doing multiple jobs. Snow removal, hauling brush on trailer, pulling wood splitter, are a few things my wife does with the x744. When dad broke 5 ribs, she was the one using their x749 mowing the steep areas too.

Any of the front deck 4wd's will do what you want to do. Quickly and easily.

Keep this in mind! With those slopes you MUST make sure your mower has a pressurized oil system and a sump that will keep the oil flowing. Most push or riding mowers use a splash oil system and on those slopes their engines will burn up in a very short time.

Seriously though, an older Steiner or JD with diff-lock will do the job and then some. You can also put brooms and snowblowers on both of them
