Need to lock something up

Go to an ATV dealer. Get a trashed engine or at least cylinders and head, worse shape the better. Cover the ATV with the tarp. Leave the trashed parts next to it exposed.

just get insurance and lock the pold barn. if you can't afford to replace it, take it back.

Like everyone said chains only deter the honest and slow down people that want it.

It's all about deseption. Look like you arn't worth mess'in with.

Take the key out, and make sure it's on your home-owners policy. Done

Another thought is to string up video camera's and hang signs saying the property is under surveilance.

Thanks for the replies so far.

Grade 70 chain I remember someone saying??? I take it that typical bolt cutters can't go through this grade? Any idea where to get (local maybe?)?

I realize that if they want it they will get it, but I'm hoping the "typical" thieves don't come armed with sawzalls, plasma cutters or cutting torches.... and I didn't realize that locks came sized to a chain. I'll ask a locksmith if he has a grade 70 or better padlock or can recommend one. I didn't even think of calling a locksmith. I figured they were just for unlocking doors and such.

Thanks for the suggestions and the tarp and broken engine parts was a good'un /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
