Need to move a building

100 ft is the distance it has to be moved maybe more depending on the placement.
Think what will try is drill holes in the 2x6 bottom frame both side and front. Run a chain through and attach to the 3 point arms to see if it can be lifted. Then I will have all the weight on the tires for traction.

I would suggest you make a spreader bar, to keep the chain from trying to pull the 2X6s together and breaking them. Other than that I think you have the right idea. To bad you don't have 3ph forks.

Well building is moved without incident.
I drilled 2 2" holes in the side bottom framework and then the drill was dead.
I installed my 3 pt trailer hitch receiver and ball Lowered the hitch Ran the chain through the holes so they were tight and dropped over the ball . Lifted the 3 pt and drove away. Got to the new location and used the forks to spin the building . All done and still have all my fingers.

IMG_1115 low rez.jpgI'm goning to hijack here
Here's what I moved last week about a half mile up the mountain.
8 x 20 5000 lb shipping container.
I made some axles out of salvaged 3.5 x 3.5 steel tubing and some axle hubs that I bought from Northern Tool.
Bolted the axles to the shipping container.
I just pulled with the tractor on the mostly flat up hill portions.
For the long 20 plus degree uphill I was chicken to just pull with the tractor alone.
I used about 700' of 3/8" aircraft cable that I had laying around, put a snatch block on a 4' diameter poplar tree at the top of the hill. hooked one end of the cable to the shipping container and one end to the tractor running back down hill and pulled it up will relative ease. I had to chock the rolling load a couple of time to choke up on the cable and/or winch the container over to one side or the other to steer.

Keep your tow chain short and everything low.
