The Landpride rcr1860 that I bought for my l3200, and was well suited for that tractor is lacking with my l3560. It's not covering my tracks and a 6' cutter purchase is in order. I received a quote of $2150 for a RCR1872 which is identical to my current cutter only a foot wider. Before I make the purchase, I'm looking at other companies to possibly shorten the gap of $$ I will have in spend on the purchase minus what I can get out of my rcr1860.

Anybody have any information regarding this company? Seems to be American made and looks to be similar to LandPride.

Land Shark is a new tier from everytfhingattachments.com, which is lighter constructed, according to ETA videos, than ETA's well established, yellow implements. Landshark brand is too new for many to have operating experience with this orange tier.

I have several yellow ETA implements and they are good quality. I have discussed yellow ETA purchases with Rick and Travis at ETA by telephone and found both gents completely straight.

I trust you will be mowing almost all grass and not brush with the potential RCR1872. I doubt your tractor (same as my tractor) will spin a 72" R/C fast enough to cut clean if the grass is much over 18" tall, and you will have to maintain the blades sharp.

Most cutters suitable for compact tractors have almost all parts, except for the deck, sourced from China. I have a Land Pride RCF2560. In big letters the gearbox is embossed LAND PRIDE. in small letters MADE IN CHINA. Most, not all, implement buyers are highly price sensitive. China has cheap labor, and lax environmental standards for smelters and power plants. About a bazillion implement components can be shipped in one 40' sea container, so shipping is negligible per component. China has most of the R/C component business. China can produce components in any quality/price tranche demanded by U.S. assemblers.

When you buy a brand you are paying for design, quality component selection, careful assembly and good paint. Worthwhile attributes which will vary from brand to brand.

I've had very good luck with Land pride and the more I think about it I'll probably end going with the 1872. I have no doubt whatsoever that my tractor can pull a 6' for my needs. Of course I'm not skidding oaks but for what I cut now and may plan to cut it'll be fine.

Brown Manufacturing has most parts made in the US. Up until just a few years ago they were still using USA made gear boxes, but everyone was buying the cheaper Landpride/Bush Hog/Woods etc so to be competitive, they had to switch to Chinese gearboxes.

I like Woods. Make good equipment. I run a 72" Brush Bull and never had any problems. Power it with a L3830 Kubota.

The Land Shark is the same as the yellow cutter, just painted orange. I have a couple hours on mine so far and it does a great job. The thing is a beast and I expect to get a long life out of it. EA makes a great product, I'm extremely happy with all of mine. If you haven't yet, check out youtube. Everything Attachments has a ton of videos about their products and how they are built.

The Land Shark may very well be a good cutter, but I stick with Land Pride and Woods as they have and continue to work well for me.

I prefer he models with open fronts and backs covered with chains as I get better debris distribution.

I've been using a Hardee LT-160 brand cutter for almost 30 years. An older guy at work owned one and liked it but the main reason I bought it was because that was the brand that the N.C. highway dept. was using to mow right-of-ways at the time.

I've used that mower a ton over the years here on my 35 acres and mowed for the public for awhile in all kinds of conditions. The ONLY thing I've done to it is kept it greased and replaced the drive line because I hit a stump.

Looks like Hardee is still in business.

Tickled with my "Buhler-Farm King" 7' finish mower and my BIL loves his rotary cutter. Don't know if dealers in your area.

I shopped for a 6' cutter a few years ago and ended up with a Rhino 172. The Landpride 1872 I looked at had a shear pin instead of a clutch. If it can be had either way, I would opt for the clutch. Also was quoted a 2072 Landpride, with a slip clutch, for $100 more than the 1872
