will the engine have the same service life of the diesel?

will it do the same work?

my 6.0 f250 diesel spanks my 5.9l gasser. dodge ram 1500 and really spanks my 2000 yukon with 5.3l gasser

when all 3 have towed a 7k load.. the gassers fuel economy bonus vanishes deep into the red.. let alone lacking torque when needed..

You do realize your comparing an engine that makes less power than most V6's to a diesel engine that makes more power idling than that 5.4l could ever dream of? Comparing these two engines together is borderline crazy... :confused2:
BTW, 13mpg in a "small" V8 barely making 300hp is not impressive at all.
