Need utility Side by Side

   / Need utility Side by Side #61
Hello all,

So, I really could use a utility side by side for around my 8 acres. Mainly for fence repair, general maintenance, irrigation repairs and target setting out to my 200 yard range. And of course some trail riding while camping. I am looking at five different machines. Most are three seaters. No need for a six seater. Here they are not listed in any particular order;

1 CFMoto UForce U10 Pro
2 Kawasaki Ridge/Ranch Edition
3 Polaris Range 1000
4 Honda Pioneer 1000-5
5 Can Am Defender X MR

I know there are others on the market. I was really interested in a Massimo T-Boss 1000, but they are not available in Kalifornia. My main focus here is ease of service, riding comfort and durability. So, if you happen to have one of these machines, can you kindly chime in as to what you do and don't like about it. I have ridden in a Honda Pioneer before and it was a great machine. I kicked the tires on a Kawasaki Ridge and it looks like a great machine, but getting to the air filter looks like a pain in the rear. I have yet to sit in any of the other three. Mainly because there are none on dealer floors in the Stockton area. I really want to look at the CFMoto. A Tracy dealer is expecting some in early May.

Ok, thanks guys/gals. B.
you should look at kioti and kubota and possible mahindra. can am has a 6x6 with a large bed that would be very high on my list I have a 2012 ranger 6x6 that has power steering installed, a power dump bed, cab, heater, put a larger size deep cycle battery behind the driver seat, fronr boss power v plow. never let me down. do not rule out used vehicles

I purchased a John Deere Gator RSX 860I in 2017 it's been a very reliable machine. Decent sized dump bed and tow capacity for utility use and suspension and power for trail riding.

I’ve got a Polaris 500,plenty of power not as expensive as others you mentioned not fancy but if you’re keeping it on 8 acres all you need

What's interesting to me is how quickly something you buy is all of a sudden ten years old!!!
But somehow, we only aged a couple of years in that time period... right?

I have an Intimidator and I am mostly happy with it. I believe it has greater load carrying capacity and towing capacity that the models you listed. One change I made was to move the battery up under the hood and go with a full-size automotive battery. My model can carry 6 people also.

I've got a 2022 uforce 600 and of had no issues with it , From Skidding 30 foot 24" logs to plowing snow with it it's done everything I've asked of it . A little bit noisy when the revs are up , After putting the heated seats in, gave up on the forced air heater , Still looking for a heated steering wheel . Definitely best bang for the buck machine out there

I have the John Deere Gator 850D XUV and I don't think you can beat it. It is an 850cc diesel with a hydraulic dump box. When was in the market I tested the Kawasaki Mule and good and I also tested the Kubota and did not care for the way it handled.

Been using a Yamaha Viking since 2014. Nothing has ever broke on it. Just been absolutely reliable and would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for that size or style UTV.
