Tractor
Ford 1920
So a previous owner chewed up the tires on my Ford 1920 pretty bad by not tightening the adjustments on the three point and allowing an implement to swing in to the tires as the arms are very marginal on length with the big tire option my tractor is equipped with. So started looking around and see a lot of different brands that I have never heard of with not an extreme premium to go to firestone tires. So any brands that I should steer clear of or should I just bite the bullet and pone up for firestones?

Anyone running Galaxy earthPRO 45 tires? I have a connection to get them for under $300 each.

Not heard of the brand you mention. Always considered - Goodyear, Firestone, Continental, Titan & BF Goodrich.

My M6040 has 6 ply Titan on the front & 6 ply Firestone on the rear.

I bought a set of R-1 rears for my 1920.
Lots of dealers sell the brand.... "BKT"
Dealer told me he has no returns ....and he sells a lot of farm tires.
BKT is made in India.

Yeah i have a set of bkt's on the front of the tractor with no issues but the pricing of them that I have found so far is within a few dollars each of firestones.

Buy the Firestones and upgrade within Firestone if they make that size. I won't buy anything but them. When I buy a tractor the first thing I do is take in in and trade whatever tires are on there for new Firestones. For a bias tire, the SAT II is a good one. Their low budget one is fine but has fewer tread bars than the SAT II. Never had a problem or even a flat with Firestone. Goodyear was bought by another company and the upgraded bias Goodyear is acceptable and pretty good quality.

That's all I would buy if they have the size. I had a 1900 and 2110 Ford, which are similar to yours, and one had a funky size up front that limited my choices.

After all that, I may buy a set of BKT front radials for something because that's the only one that makes the odd size.

Well ended up finding a local guy that sold the firestones for not much more than the off brands so I ordered a set of super all traction II 23 deg. tires yesterday.

Congratulations. That should be a great tire for you. I think they are the best bias tire out there.
Pics on that tractor when they come in would be nice. They look great on that series.

I had titans on my front and went to replace them. The salesman online pointed out that the Titans were out of stock and that carlyle would do as well - and a good deal cheaper. I went with the Carlyle- thinking the money saved could buy me another set if they didn't hold up.

They have been great - tough and doing their job!

Well I finally got these on the tractor last night. The rims were not an exact match to the center plate bolt pattern and required the holes being slotted .090 outwards for the bolts to go thru correctly. The rims came powder coated IH white so I opted to paint the center plates to match since they needed painted anyways.
