CrownHog Your bass and cat fish have ticks on them yet.
Dog doesn't go into the woods because the trees are chasing him.
Garden was poor and even the weeds and grass doesn't grow.

Dry but manageable up here in NB. Weather channel says we have only gotten 25% of our normal precip this spring/summer & I'd believe it - 2 springs on my property have dried up. That said, my artisian well is still pumping water out the overflow & we are getting showers at least once a week. Have only had to water the garden a few times - clay soil around here so it does hold water well. Garden is doing well & the local crops look good - likely not much of a second regrowth on hay fields but they don't often take a second cutting here unless it is for sileage (more likely used for pasture) as it can be wet come Sept.
Hope you get some relief down south.

Cheers

Nice gentle rain is falling and has been for a short while it seems. Forecast for next 10 days has at least 30% chance of rain every day. Today will be wet 60% it seems. Not the best day for moving the electric fence... Tough Noogies I believe is what I will end up telling myself and go get wet.

For me, this is likely the end of the drought for now, I am sure for the year we are still below average, but I will be mowing again in mere days... Or at least NEEDING to be mowing...

Be well all.

Low 70's and overcast and humid but somehow virtuall all the rain that fell missed us. Less than 20 miles from here got just under 5"!

The world climate has changed. We are in a cycle of going for great lengths of time without rain and then getting 5-10 inches in a couple of hours. We are also experiencing a lot of one area receiving 5 or more inches of rain and a couple miles away hardly a mist fell. Record high temperatures are also being experienced across the US and Globally.

27.63" fell in West Pensacola Florida in June 2012 in a three day time span when the Tropical Storm crossed over Florida. Too much rain at once is costing billions for repairs.

Predications are for more or similar weather for years to come. I can hardly wait. Thinking about starting construction on an air conditioned Ark.

This past October through March brought record cold and snowfall to Alaska, and nearly all of Europe. Some year is going to be the hottest, some year is going to be the coldest and some year is going to be the wettest/driest on record. That and $5 will get you a cup of Starbucks! The reason the On record" means so little is because our records go back so short of a time that they virtually represent a blink of the eye in the framework of time.

hmm...guess it all depends on what you mean by
climate....or maybe
change??

Me, if it's hot, or cold, or wet....it's climate
And, if it's different from what I've been getting, expect, then it's a change.
I don't care what anybody says...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!:stirthepot:

That is the weather, or the current environment, climate is long term as in centuries.
Earth Sciences / Physical Geography) the long-term prevalent weather conditions of an area, determined by latitude, position relative to oceans or continents, altitude, etc.

Chad, Makes you wonder what they were thinking....when it is so dry I am even careful not to go in the fields with my Jeep...afraid the catalytic converter will start the pastures on fire ...

I was sure wondering what they h e double hockey sticks they were thinking. I heard the guy got fined. Because we were in a burn ban. Even without a burn ban. He should have had some sense not to light that on fire in this dry condition.

We did get some rain a few nights ago. It was starting to pour and as soon as I rolled the windows up on my truck. It stopped raining. xd :confused3:

I can't understand it. It seems most times I roll my windows up the rain stops.
