Needing some serious help

I am not sure on how to disconnect. The only John Deere I ever had to hook up to was a 4020 and that was 30 years ago. Seams like we had to push down on that lever and the hose would just pop out. Sorry I can't be more help.

Looks to me like two way couplers in a housing.

Meaning you push your hose in and it locks. You simply pull on the hose to disconnect.....because the coupler is mounted by the collar.

Its called breakaway protection. Incase you drive away from something and forget to unhook the hoses.

I am guessing when you "thought" it was connected.....and you pulled on it and it came back out......I am betting it was indeed connected and working just fine. Simply pulling on it is how to disconnect

Nearly what happened, while I was trying to hook it up, the sleeve went back in. carefully pulled it back out with a flat head and everything is working now. thanks
