He got to close to pond edge on inside slope and got stuck. He called me to come with my tractor. I got up, drove up there with my tractor...took 5 mins. During that time, he had one wing on the batwing raised...he lower it, but it was stuck, wouldn't lower, he got off, he messed with it, and it fell on him. He was bleeding pretty bad, but it didn't pin him, could barely walk. I got his wife who was away from this by a little bit, and some towels....went back, bandaged him a little, and they sped off to the ER. They said...it was a good thing you got here when you did, otherwise he would have bled out. They controlled the bleeding somewhat, but needed vascular work, and no one was qualified. They was going to airlift him to St. Louis, but weather precluded that, and they took him by ambulance to Barnes hospital in St. Louis. 120 miles or so away.
IF.....he had messed with that wing before he called me, he would have died, because his cell phone was crushed, and he couldn't even called for help. Besides some nasty cuts, he was bruised really bad, plus he fractured his back, but not bad enough for surgery. Few days later I saw him, besides both arms and hand bandaged, his left leg was quite black from this knee to his hip.
It scared the crap out of him, his wife, and me.
