Patrick,
Your last post reminded me of the time just before we built our current home. We were scoping things out the the guy who lived just catty-corner from our property stopped by and chatted with us. Now that I think about it, he didn't get out of his car and was a little stand-offish. I had asked him about the neighborhood and he said that "most people back here want to be left alone...". I found it a little odd.
That has proven to be not the case. Sure, a few people keep to themselves but, in general, are friendly people. In life, you just try to be a good neighbor. Most people are open and friendly. Some are not. Gee, doesn't that sound like something being discussed in another thread.....
