Nervous about buying

I wouldn't worry as bit.

When I purchased a boat a few years ago, people kept telling me the 2 best days are (1) the day you bring the boat home and (2) the day you sell the boat. Well, that turned out to be true.

But for my tractor, its been only good stuff. Each time you go outside and see the tractor, you will smile.

Let me know if I need to start another thread on this.... I have to get insurance on the tractor but my agent says that it wont be covered if I were to " run it into a pond or creek" Of course I am not going to intentionally Sink my tractor thats why they call stuff like that accidents. Sounds kind of hokey to me. She even said it wouldnt be covered if say the brakes turned loose and it left its parking place in the barn and ended up in the pond......What good is the insurance if it doesnt cover stuff that could happen. This is new to me.

Also someone enlighten me on this. She asked if I would be using this for commercial use. I told her I might dig some waterlines or something like that but not as a business. I was told I would have to have commercial insurance because I have a backhoe.......buuuttt if I only use it for farming ie... I can rake hay for anyone all over the state of KY... the insurance is only 1\8th the price. I am confused

I would get the Kubota insurance. Only a $250 deductible, basically no questions asked no matter what you do to the tractor. They will either repair it or replace it. Also covers the tractor whether it's on your property, on a job site, etc, even when being trailered. Really the best deal out there. For my B3200 it is only like $175 a year.

I just ordered a L3400 today. With QD Loader and backhoe. I am wondering if I did the right thing now. I guess I am looking for some moral support as I am starting to get cold feet. ( maybe I should have got a cab with A\C and Heat:eek:) My wife is wonderful she told me to just go and get it. I love my wife. Still am nervous if I did the right thing I have about 9 acres total. I have thought to myself at least ten times this summer .....I wish I had a backhoe. Now that one is on the way I am torn up like a jar of kraut.

Don't worry, soon as you jump on it that grin will be so wide it won't fit through your front door and you'll probably end up sleeping on the seat the first night!!:D

Don't be concerned about the size of your acreage either. Heck, I technically own just 1 acre, but I have a 30hp tractor. I justify mine by using it at the hunt club which leases 1000 acres. You only live once, so spend a little money and enjoy it. Good luck with the orange!!!

On the insurance recommendation, Kubota has an insurance plan that is hard to beat. I have an M4800 and an M9540HDC4wd insured through them for $480 a year for both machines full coverage.

Congrats on the arrival!

Looks very sharp.

Hopefully you are able to get out and get some quality seat time on it.

Nice tractor. I'm sure you will enjoy finding new projects that use the tractor. Just moving some old cars last weekend, I used the tractor. Slow and gentle. The bucket comes off so easy to put the forks on, I am amazed each time. Many happy days ahead. Stay safe.
