Do you have tinnitus? Did you ever listen to loud music? How about shot a gun etc? Have you ever thought that age may have something to do with it? Occam's razor?
I didn't have tinnitus until I had to start taking blood pressure medicine...but to answer your question..yes I have been exposed to a lot of loud music and am a firearm enthusiast...and I have noticed a problem with hearing certain frequencies...(not joking about this) but with some female voices I have a hard time understanding what is being said...I can hear fine but its like its all jumbled/distorted...also have a hard time understanding people that mumble...

FWIW...I have recently started taking a nerve pain drug (NEURONTIN/Gabapentin)...it is widely prescribed (#10 most prescribed) for a plethora of maladies...it was originally developed to treat seizures (elliptic)...it is non narcotic/opioid... I am taking it for nerve pain and to help sleep which it does little but it does work great for nerve pain...
...if you read up on it...there are many other benefits that are being reported by people that are taking the drug...although higher doses are prescribed for certain things I am taking 600mg daily...and on of the things I have noticed since I have been taking it is a reduction or complete absence of tinnitus...!!!

Cancer is tragic, Big Business, and people are the lab rats. They found cures decades ago.

Genetics is a big factor, as is lifestyle, and diet. Fast Food isn't helping.

Just my opinion.

Very much so
I took care of my mom while she spent the last 14 months of her life battling cancer.
She chose to be treated at Penn.
They have the proton therapy system there. I took her there dozens of times. The team of doctors treating her told me that the proton beam device is built into a 3 story vertical building shaft. I think they said it was 10 billion dollars to construct and install. They had to close down the streets from the ship docks into philadelphia because its such an enormous device to bring in.
In the end, I dont think it did much to save her. The tumors that were destroyed were just replaced with more.
Such a sad & tragic disease. To watch someone close to you die from cancer kills you a little bit, too. Never been the same since.

Hay Dude - so sorry for your loss. Very difficult times.
I lost my younger brother to lung cancer in 2010; and my mom to cancer in 2018 - I think of them often

Or better yet figure out how to modify our environment (including diet) so we don't get it in the first place.
You don't 'get it'. You already have it, everyone does. It's what sets it off that needs to be addressed.

I'm in remission after 5 years of hell and loosing quite a few parts. It took it's toll on me, but I'm still here and that is all that counts for me at least.

Least I kept my sense of humor most times.
