My fault, i read that wrong. I'm far from infaliable thats for sure.

( Of the tractors I have seen by both, I see NO difference in fit and finish between the too )

That could be. There is alot of personal opinion involved in "fit and finish". I do have the oppertinuity to sit on and drive many tractors from many different companies when going to sales schools and because we also sell Cub Cadet who resells many of the same models. I am very tuned into how the transmission feels, how it drives, how smoothly things go in and out of gear, how the PTO works and those kinda things. I notice a clear difference, but that does not mean everyone does. Buy whats right for you, not want I - or anyone else here tells you to.

Anyone know whats a good deal on a GC2300 with a FEL and a MMM?

/ never seem to mention Mahindra? #23
the gc2300 is to cool, i never got to drive a 2015. how do they compare? i do know a 2015 is bigger and heavier, its a compact and the 2300 is a subcompact, but other than that how do they differ? is the 2015 as quiet? i would love to have one or the other. i drove a 2300, but ive only seen pistures of a 2015, my dealer hates dealing with little tractors. he is a very large mahindra dealer.

the price i was quoted for a 2300 was $7900 for tractor, $1700 for mower deck, dont know about the loader.

where did you get that quote? When? Was that the 60" deck?

Before I bought my Kubota B7510HST/LA302 FEL last May, I took a long, hard look at the Mahindra 2015 with FEL. The Mahindra was a couple hundred bucks higher than the Bota. Couldn't get the price down on the 2015, so choosing the 7510 was a no-brainer, considering that Kubota has 60% of the CUT/SCUT market while Mahindra's market share is about 1/10 of that. Considering resale value, again, a no-brainer.

I have the GC2300 with FEL...7800 for just the tractor (no tach on my model) and out the door with FEL for 11800, including taxes, etc. This was in NC Fall 2004, I love my GC2300 and it does everything I have asked it to do for me. Like all SCUTs it has its limitations and you have to be aware of them before you ask it to do something that it is not capable of. There are some pics of my GC picking up some huge pieces of oak (44" plus and 18"+ thick") in the massey pics forum. Feel free to ask any specific questions. I am not familiar with any other tractor except the JD 2210 which my father has.

Do you have the turf tires or ag? If you do have the ag, do they tear up the yard because i'd like to use ag for the hillside and the loader. Sounds like your happy with it. The cheapest price i've got so far is $13,080 out the door(60",FEL).

Flusher,
Put a B7510 Kubota right next to a Mitsubishi built 2015 Mahindra and there you will not find anything about the Kubota that is better, including fit and finish. You will find the Mitsu is about 50% heavier. Heavier transmission, heavier front axle, heavier rearend, heavier lift arms, thicker steel in the sheetmetal, larger tires, higher lift capacities, etc. Obviously the lighter B series Kubota is a fine machine, very capable and it accomplishes tasks very well for you and others, but it costs more to build a tractor that weighs 50% more. The fact the the pricing is similar is remarkable. The Mitsu built 2015 should be higher priced. These are both high quality Japanese tractors, but they are only in the same class when you compare horsepower.

Kubota has the distinction of a more mature dealer base and a very large market share in general, although they are not top in all geographic areas. As you know, both Kubota dealers within 40 miles of us have folded up in the last 2 years. Sure they will reopen, but it isn't just the smaller brands that see dealers come and go.

In summary, Kubota is a good tractor. They have a wide product range of good machines. But they are not alone in that claim.

As to resale, I just wish I had some used Mahindra tractors to sell. When they do come in trade, they seldom last more than 48 hours.

( This is the kind of reason that many people don't suggest some of the off brands. You can mix a loader and mower on any NH, Kubota, Deere - infact on many models you can even have a backhoe all at the same time. In my mind Mahindra is defentialy the best of the 3rd tier brands, they look pretty good on a spec sheet, but they have ways to go before fit, finish, and smooth operation are up to par with the major lines.)

Messick,
I've never responded directly to any of your comments, but I will take the opportunity to do so now. Comments like "3rd tier" and "off brands", and "they look pretty good on spec sheets" are quite a broad brush, and a bit imflamatory.

I have well over 100 Mahindra 15 series tractors in stock and I invite you to come inspect and test drive all the models. You will be impressed, then worried. Impressed at the tractors, and worried about the competition. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

In fairness, some of what you say is true regarding tractors looking good on spec sheets but being disappointing in person. It is important to actually look at them. I won't name brands, but we spent a little time away from our booth this week at the World Ag Expo, and some of the "off brands" really lack quality.

In a different manner, the same is true for Kubota, on a spec sheet, the high HP of some of the little B-series is impressive, yet when you look at them, they are built light and are far less capable in ground engaging activities and lift/digging jobs than the Mahindra/Branson/Kioti/Montana, etc. crowd. Now I know that sometimes light is a good thing, like for finish mowing, but for the most part, I'll take a tractor that is built in a more robust fashion.

So I think you should be careful not to paint with so broad a brush, and you really should come look at our tractors. Meanwhile, I have a lot of respect for Kubota and those that own them. They are good machines, no doubt.
