Has anyone run across one of these before? I was wondering if it is a special emergency medical response unit. Donno. I took it in a neighboring town, about half an hour away.

No, but would bet that it's a emergency response unit that handles snake removal.

I live in a town of 8,000 people in SE Texas, 25 miles from Louisiana. I have removed several snakes from my front yard, one of my dogs has killed 3 chicken snakes (up to 3' long) and my neighbor killed 2 rattlesnakes in his yard last year. We are in the middle of town, they're worse out in the country.

I figured most Cajuns would handle any snakes themselves and probably throw them in the Gumbo pot along with everything else! I have heard that Cajuns will eat anything that doesn't eat them first.

Yeah, we have a couple of legless creatures around.
As for upgrading the Crown Vics, that was in Washington Parish [county] - - not a very rich area, probably one of the poorest in the country. It looks like a hand-me-down from the police.
I used to see more snakes around my house & barn before a cat adopted us. We've seen him with a few small [3'] rat snakes.

That sign's to keep people from opening the trunk and stealing their spare while they're parked at the donut shop. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
