Re: Never thought I\'d be asking this, are the BX\'s...
You've about got the picture. The BX23/24 is the same as the BX2230/2350 without the BH, with one minor exception. Kub adds some reinforcement to the frames of the 23/24 for the BH. This came up in a thread a while back regarding someone who wanted to add a Woods BH instead of buying the real deal from Kubota.
I have a 2230 for mowing, work in tight quarters, etc. It's more fun than a barrel of monkeys, and twice as productive. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

March 2012 new L45--John Deere 650 sold/Kubota M59 TLB/sold bx24 and L3830
Re: Never thought I\'d be asking this, are the BX\'s...
Rat,
I gave $16,200 for a bx 24 with the MMM. I probably did not need the back hoe since I still have my L3830 with a bradco Backhoe. But I am amazed at how ofted I use it for smaller areas and planting trees etc. I was afraid that later I would want the back hoe, so decided to get it now.

I have a BX2200 with FEL and 60" MMM. It is OUTSTANDING. I had the bagger but sold it to Junkman because I love the mulch kit so much.
The unit cuts so much better than the garden tractor I used to have. With the 3ph and PTO, there are still so many things I can run: BB, tiller, RB, Brush Hog, pond scoop, PHD, carry all, sprayer, etc. Still on Santa's list are chipper, generator, and Woods BH.

Hi RaT,
I just replaced my old JD-318 with a BX-1850 with a 54" MMM. I use it in an orchard on a very steep hill. The main battery is my L3010 with the BX as a back up-finisher.
The JD-318 was a very tough and dependable edger, but the 1850 with the finish mower is an even more impressive unit.
I will never use a FEL on the 1850 because it would get in the way-it is dedicated for finish mowing only. I do not bag the grass, if it piles up too much I use a Stihl BR-600 back pack blower and shoot all the grass into the neighbor's field /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
