NEED SOME EXPERT ADVICE !!! PLEASE: !!!

69 YRS OLD AND BUYING THIS SO I CAN GET GET AROUND !! INSTEAD OF KNEE REPLACEMENT SURGERY !!

QUESTIONS !!

1.PRICE NEW 2006 CAMO 4X4 FROM DEALER WITH MFR. 2 YR WARRANTY DELIVERED IN MISSOURI IS $7599. GOOD DEAL ??!

2.ANY SERIOUS PROBLEMS ? WARRANTY GOOD ? MFR. STAND UP FOR REPAIRS OR HELP ?

3.ARE THERE ANY OTHER PLACES TO GET ACCESSORIES OTHER THAN THE MFR. AS THEY SEEM PRETTY EXPENSIVE ?!!

4.IS THIS A GOOD RELIABLE MACHINE ?! FOR THE PRICE ?! LIMITED INCOME
(SOCIAL SECURITY) BUT, I NEED A TOY BEFORE I CROAK !! :-}

5.MOVING IN JAN 2008 TO LAKE OF THE OZARKS LAURIE MISSOURI AND SCHED DELIVERY IS NOV 1ST 2007 AND THE ONLY PLACE I HAVE SEEN THIS MACHINE WAS ON INTERNET !! NO DEALERS NEAR ME IN ARIZONA !! :-{

We had an 2006 Cub Cadet 4x4 camo model with a factory installed cab. We originally purchased the yellow model, but we had two different problems with this machine. The transmission would not go into low and at other times you could not get it into any gear, including neutral. The vehicle has to be in neutral to start, so when this happened you were stuck. If you rocked the machine back and forth, it would eventually work. After driving it a couple of days, my husband checked the oil and it was considerably over the full mark. He smelled the oil and it was obvious that it had gas in it. We took it back to the place of purchase to be repaired, and a new camo unit had just arrived. This is what we originally wanted, so we swapped for the camo. We had about 20 hours on the camo unit when the the ball joints had to be replaced. After about 30 hours the transmission went out and you could not get it into gear. We had to use the tractor and chain to pull the vehicle onto the trailer and return it to the dealer for repair. This machine was first manufactured in 2006, so I expected some problems with the first year model. The 2007 models have an enclosed CVT which the 2006 does not. If I were you, I would purchase a 2007 or wait until the 2008 model is available. The Cub is a great farm or work vehicle with a great ride and plenty of hauling and pulling capabilities, but the vehicle is 65.5 inches wide so it is really not made for trail riding. The top speed is 25mph. Anytime you buy the first year model of anything, you should expect and will have some problems. We sold the farm, so we sold the machine. If I were buying another vehicle for farm use, I would definitely consider the Cub, but it would be the 2008 model. Hope this helps!

I WILL TRY TO CHECK WITH DEALER OR SEE ABOUT A DEAL ON A 2007 CADET
IF AVAILABLE !!

I HOPE SOMEONE KNOWS WHEN THE 2008'S WILL BE AVAILABLE AND THE PRICING ??!!

Have you considered a more main stream unit like a mule, gator , or RTV? There are more accessories available and they've been around longer so more kinks worked out.
