The tiller will be great for ballast. :thumbsup: A ballast box is a good idea though, then you have a fair amount of weight in a compact area.

Most definitely. That's the same setup I have and I have grooves in my tires because the dealer didn't swap them like I asked them to. The lift mechanism has some side play and the pins that attach to the lift arms will hit the tires.

Be careful if you try to swap them yourself. Besides the tires being very heavy, it takes two jacks to pick up the rear of the tractor and keep it from tipping sideways as it will pivot on the front axle.

I don't understand why the dealers don't just routinely set the rear tires up in the wide position when they set up the tractor.

The lift mechanism has some side play and the pins that attach to the lift arms will hit the tires.

If this is your only concern, you can get some spacers that fit on the support rod and prevent it from hitting the tires.

Some people want a narrow tractor for maneuverability. I have rear tires in wide position *and* 1" wheel spacers...
