New 4052R finally arrived, has to be one of the first!

I bought my 4052R used. Well it's a 2014 model but only had 4.4 hours on it. Bought it private Dec of 2016. I bought it for moving snow and moving pallets around. I really do love it. I was unsure. I went from a JD 4450 farm tractor with 160 horse and a loader that could lift 4600 pounds to a JD 4052R and 180 loader. It is just so handy and quick. I have 28 hours on it already. Words cannot describe how impressed I am with it.

The 4450 was 140 horse unless you played with the injector pump. We had a 2wd 4250 and a 4850 with MFWD and 30" wide rears that I slowly started driving in place of the 2wd 4840 with Duals. The 10 horse difference between the 2wd 4840 and MFWD 4850 was not really reflective of the difference in pulling power. Thought both were excellent tractors...fwiw & imho.

Your take on the 4052R and the 180 FEL REALLY has me thinking about a 4066R and a 180 instead of a KUBOTA L6060. I've heard so little positive feedback on the new Yanmar powered Deeres it is nice to hear someone else with a history in Big Agriculture that likes these little tractors... I know I like the pressurized cab of the last series...

I really like the 4 series tractors, they fill a niche between the bigger/heavier 5 series & up. I have the Yanmar in my 07 5303, not a problem with it at all other than the thermostat sending unit that has plagued them.
So far the new one is still going. Keep us updated as you get along with it.

We liked the 40 over the 30 series, because the lifting capacity of the three point and loader, is so much higher. Of course the machine weights a bit more as well......... Its also a bit wider and longer.

40 three point Lift capacity, 24-in. behind link arms, 2500 lb, compared to 30, Lift capacity, 24-in. behind link arms, 1356 lb.

40 Loaders lift capacity is 2481, 30 Loaders lift capacity of 1360 lbs.

I moved the 4052r at the store yesterday, nice feeling machine, can't wait til we get a 4066 or new 5r series in.

We of course know this but you still need numbers to compare X from Y tractor abilities.

And if anyone has 40 series tractor experiences, please post them. Or 30 series for that matter.
